Proton Driving School Policy

Thank you for choosing Proton Driving School for your driving lessons. By enrolling in our lessons, you agree to adhere to the following policies:

Payment & Booking:

  1. The standard fee for each driving lesson is $90 per hour (plus GST), with a 90-minute course. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. We advise against booking unless you are certain of your availability to attend.

Cancellation & Rescheduling:

  1. To cancel or reschedule a lesson or road test session, we require a minimum of 2 days’ notice. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in forfeiture of the fees paid.
  2. No refunds will be issued for lessons or road test sessions that have already taken place.

Late-Shows & No-shows:

  1. Punctuality is crucial for efficient use of lesson time. If you are up to 15 minutes late, your scheduled lesson will proceed, but you will be charged for the full duration.
  2. If you are more than 20 minutes late, the instructor will leave, and the lesson fee will be forfeited. You will be marked as a ‘No Show’.
  3. No refunds or rescheduling will be offered for ‘No Show’ instances.
  4. In the event of instructor delay due to unforeseen circumstances, any lost lesson time will be compensated for at the end of the lesson or as soon as possible.

Use of Our Vehicle for the Road Test:

Students must be enrolled in at least one driving lesson package to use our vehicle for a road test. We reserve the right to withhold the vehicle if the instructor believes the student is not adequately prepared for the test, prioritizing safety and maintaining our reputation.

Refunds:

  1. No refunds will be provided for completed driving lessons or road test sessions.
  2. Refunds for unused lessons or road test sessions will only be issued if notice is received at least 2 days before the scheduled session, with a $30 processing fee applicable.

Safety, Comfort, and Well-being:

  1. Students are advised to wear suitable clothing and footwear that allows for ease of movement during lessons.
  2. It is imperative to focus solely on the driving task during lessons and to follow the instructor’s instructions in emergency situations.
  3. Any medication or condition that may affect driving ability must be disclosed to the instructor prior to the lesson.
  4. Instructors reserve the right to terminate lessons if a student’s ability to concentrate is compromised due to illness, fatigue, or emotional distress.

Driving Under the Influence:

Lessons will be canceled if a student is suspected of being under the influence of drugs, legal highs, or alcohol. Full training fees for the affected period will be forfeited or charged.

Driver’s Licence:

Students must possess a valid BC Learner’s Driver’s Licence or Driver’s Licence, including foreign driver’s licences, before the first lesson, and carry it during training.

Additional Notes:

All lessons are one-on-one unless otherwise agreed upon by both the instructor and student, with a maximum of three persons in the car.

COVID-19 Safeguarding Measures:

Students must adhere to the supplementary terms and conditions of service outlined on our website regarding COVID-19 safeguarding measures. These measures are subject to change in accordance with government guidelines.
